Other News
As the year comes to a close, I’ll keep the newsletter short.
The big things in our classroom this week include:
*Our Level 3 Dinner, Feasting Through the Ages, on Monday the 5th!
You can help by making sure your child gets dropped off and picked up at the right times. It’s always a joy to watch the students take ownership over the evening! We will be cooking Monday morning and doing some set up on Monday afternoon before the first shift starts at 4:45, first seating for dinner is at 5.
*Finishing our math standardized testing.
You can help your child get rest, proper nutrition and lots of positive encouragement. We will likely resume grade level math for the later part of this week and early next week.
*Wrapping up our research projects--turning in our research papers and giving speeches.
You can help by listening to your child give a practice speech and watching their slideshow presentation. Speeches will likely take place Friday, Monday and Tuesday.
*On Thursday we will see our ELC Buddies one last time.
You can help by giving us Lego donations, so that we can give each child a small (snack-sized) bag of Legos as a thank you gift. We will print out pictures and write a card that says, “Thank you for a great year of reading. We hate to Lego of you, but we wish you a fun summer!”
