Homework:
Students continue to have homework in all areas:
1. Reading
2. Typing/ Writing --this week it's writing. Students will be assigned to write a letter about ODS.
3. Math
4. Correctly filling out their agenda WITH parent signature.
I will start communicating with families at this point for kiddos who aren't meeting our homework expectations. Let me know if there is anything I can do clear up the homework routine process or our expectations.
Outdoor School
Outdoor Science School was such a success! Rachel, Erin and I really enjoyed leading some of the field studies to ensure the content was well connected to our theme of water. These experiences will be relied upon for rest of the fall as we continue to study water! More than the content, it was enjoyable to see kids showing leadership and kindness to the students of the other schools and to each other. Picking each other up when we each of us needed it the most! Check out the photos as a way to start conversations.
Ask, what's important about using chemical tests and the critter catch test to investigate water quality. w
Listen as your child tells you about their favorite field study, and their favorite part of the ODS experience.
Extend the learning by investigating natural areas and having your child lead you in a field study!
Please read the newsletter from the previous week if you didn't get a chance to last week!
