There will be little homework this week, especially with the Fresh, Fit Feast on Tuesday and year-end activities for later part of the week. Unfinished memoirs, digital stories and math are the exceptions! However, kids should be filling out their agenda this week to capture any last minute changes, etc.
This week we’ll share our memoirs and digital stories with each other and do some year-end reflecting as well as talk some about how to stay engaged over the summer.

Because of testing, there wasn’t regular grade-level math last week. We’ll have a short week together this week. But, we’ll do some assessing, reflecting and thinking about how to keep our minds engaged over the summer to wrap up the year!
5th Grade math
Last week Kestrels and Merlins worked to complete the final portion the state math test. This week wraps up our year together as mathematicians. 5th graders will participate in some fun, hands-on activities, complete a final unit assessment and reflect on the year as a mathematician.
ASK- What do you feel are your strongest areas of growth in math this year?
LISTEN to your child explain areas/skills he or she will want to keep working on/make stronger.
EXTEND the learning by playing math games all summer to keep your mathematician's mind math-sharp.
